Greg Jenner

Private Practice
Greg Jenner represents clients on a wide range of tax issues and transactions, particularly in the renewable energy and agricultural sectors.

Greg is thoroughly versed in all aspects of renewable energy, from meeting the “beginning construction” requirements to the negotiation and implementation of tax equity transactions.  In addition, Greg’s focus on partnerships, leasing and cooperatives enables him to represent all types of agricultural clients, including producers of renewable fuels.

Greg also has substantial experience representing clients in federal and state tax controversies (audit and litigation).

Government Service
Greg has ten years of combined experience at Treasury and on Capitol Hill.  Greg came to Washington in 1985 to assist in writing the landmark Tax Reform Act of 1986.  He went on to serve two tours at the Treasury Department, including as Acting Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy (2004) and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy (2002-2004).  In those roles, he directed Treasury’s Office of Tax Policy, advising President Bush and Secretaries O’Neill and Snow on tax legislation and policy.
