Nathan Bishop
Nathan Bishop is an Associate at Amis, Patel & Brewer, LLP. His practice focuses on the development, construction, financing, acquisition and sale of renewable energy and sustainability projects throughout the United States. Nathan works across the lifecycle of renewables projects, from power purchase agreements to tax equity capital contribution agreements, from letter of credit facilities to project purchase and sale agreements. He takes enormous pride in helping clients navigate the challenges they face in leading the transition to a clean energy economy.
Nathan joined Amis, Patel & Brewer from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, a global law firm, where he worked on renewable energy project finance and development in the solar, onshore and offshore wind and green hydrogen sectors. As a law student, Nathan was a legal intern for the Environmental Defense Fund, where he researched emissions credit trading policies among EEA and EFTA states, and at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where he analyzed a variety of energy policy issues. Nathan also served as a research assistant at the United Nations International Law Commission, where he helped prepare guidelines concerning state responsibility for protection of the atmosphere under international law.
Nathan graduated from New York University School of Law as an International Law and Human Rights Fellow, where he was also the Submissions Editor of the Environmental Law Journal. He received his BA in International Relations from Brown University, where he was a Head Writing Fellow.
